Responsibilities

The Mason Korea Program Assistant will have various responsibilities related to the study abroad program. These responsibilities include overseeing communication with study abroad cohorts, scheduling meetings for the study abroad program, managing study abroad application materials and general inquiries, preparing materials for the Welcome Orientation, visa and pre-departure workshops, monitoring pre-departure logistics such as visa pick-up, flight departures, and arrivals, facilitating Patriot Activities Council applications, interviews and selection, communicating with various university partners regarding application dates, programs, and deadlines, attending weekly check-ins with the Mason Korea team, assisting with event planning, and providing other administrative support related to the MK study abroad program as needed.

Required Qualifications

To be eligible for this position, candidates must have experience serving college/university students and/or working in an international organization. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required, including experience with public speaking and the ability to present information clearly and positively to students with a variety of cultural and language backgrounds. Candidates should also have an aptitude for detailed-oriented and accurate work, solid organizational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and exercise good judgment.
