Responsibilities
As a Senior Interior Designer at EskewDumezRipple, one of the main responsibilities is to coordinate with clients, project team members, and consultants throughout all phases of the design process, from startup and pre-design to construction and occupancy. This coordination ensures that all parties are aligned and working towards the same project requirements, vision, and goals.
Another crucial responsibility is to meet with clients to understand their specific program requirements, vision, and goals for the project. This initial meeting is essential in developing a clear understanding of what the client wants to achieve with the design and ensures that the design solutions align with their needs.
Developing high-quality design solutions is also a key responsibility of a Senior Interior Designer. This involves preparing presentations and documents at various stages of the design process, including schematic design, design development, and construction documents phases. These design solutions should meet the client’s requirements and reflect the vision and goals discussed in the initial meetings.
In addition to design solutions, Senior Interior Designers are responsible for developing FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment), color palettes, and material presentations. This includes the conceptual phase of the project through to the specification phase. These presentations should showcase the chosen FF&E, color schemes, and materials that are in line with the overall design concept.
Researching, applying, and documenting code and applicable standards, such as ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act), is another key responsibility. It is crucial to ensure that the design solutions meet all relevant building codes and regulations to ensure safety and accessibility for all users.
