Sr Performance Data Analyst (Part-Time)

The Sr. Performance Data Analyst will be responsible for overseeing the collection, analysis, and interpretation of media performance data across various business functions. Tasked with providing behavioral insights and innovative solutions that will inform strategy and media planning teams. This role will play an important role in delivering data-informed decision making and will work as part of a larger cross-agency team in our Chicago office. Ideal candidates must demonstrate strong working knowledge of applying data to brand development, experience in multicultural advertising, and ability to lead others. We’re looking for a Sr. Performance Data Analyst who loves measuring KPIs and uses them to tell data-driven narratives and provide actionable recommendations.What you will do
- Work with the Data Analytics Lead to analyze and interpret media spend performance data and provide actionable insights and strategies.
- Interpret and apply data to tell a story to develop strategy to meet client business goals and requirements.
- Work with internal and external teams to develop client tools and services such as segmentation, modeling, dashboard development, decision aids and business case analysis to support programs, creative and recommended solutions.
- Create specific and actionable client recommendations and client engagements by working with the agency's internal strategy and planning team.
- Create reports and presentations that identify trends and opportunities on activity of paid online media, social media, local campaigns and website data.
- Contribute to innovation for the agency and help to establish the agency in the marketplace as being “accomplished” and innovative in analytics in the multicultural market.
- Assist in building out the agency’s services in social media and mobile analytics, customer database analytics.
- Monitors and interprets cultural and social trends relevant to the client’s business.
- Lead and participate in new business strategies and present ideas at new business pitches.
- Stay current with client and industry developments and benchmarks.
Your experience
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree Required, preferably in statistics, economics, mathematics, business or marketing.
- Hands on experience in cleaning, processing & analyzing data.
- Master’s Degree in Data Analytics, preferred.
- Advance knowledge of Excel and Python/R.
- 5+ years of experience at a media agency, marketing analytics firm or similar field, extracting insights from large, technical data sets, and communicating recommendations to varied audiences including high-level management.
- Advertising agency experience with segment experience targeting multicultural consumers.
- Ability to effectively present research results to customers, clients and other agency employees.
