Location: Hybrid (12106 NE Marx St, Portland, OR 97220); open to remote possibilities

Schedule: Monday-Friday (8 am – 5 pm), with occasional night and weekend hours as needed

Position Overview:

  • The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing language-related projects from planning through delivery. This role involves coordinating resources, managing timelines, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality language services such as translation, localization, interpretation, and transcription. The Project Manager will work closely with clients, linguists, and other stakeholders to meet project goals and client expectations.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manages complex projects from planning through delivery

  • Help develop and oversee a formalized project management process throughout the company

  • Liaises between project members, cross-functional teams, external vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure deliverables, requirements, schedules, cost, and meeting plans are communicated

  • Utilizes appropriate tools to plan project timelines, tasks, milestones, and deadlines 

  • Communicates schedule and changes to all stakeholders

  • Plans and facilitates project meetings to align the project team to methods and goals and to track project tasks

  • Prepares agendas, meeting notes, and project summaries. Monitors task completion status to identify at risk project tasks and to develop mitigation plans

  • Allocates resources, budgets, and hours to the project and adjusts allocations when necessary

  • Perform additional duties or projects as assigned

 

Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably an MBA or other Master’s Degree

  • Experience working on complex projects such as system implementations

  • Experience with project management theory and best practices.

  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously

  • Detail-oriented & strong organizational & analytical skills

  • High degree of professionalism and high sensitivity for confidentiality

  • Must possess knowledge and experience in the use of CAT Tools (Trados or any CAT tool)

  • Customer service experience

  • Experience with various technology concepts

  • Superior written and spoken communication skills in English

  • Fluency in a second language a plus

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Experience on Google ‘s platform

  • Data analysis and presentation skills

  • 4-7 years of related experience

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP Certification

  • Experience in Language Access Services

  • Health care experience

  • Experience working in a regulated environment

  • Experience with compliance

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to move about inside the office to access files, office machinery, etc., and on various work sites for system installations and inspections.

  • Proficient use of hands and fingers to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls, including computer keyboards, network equipment, and servers.

  • Sufficient visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing computer monitors, and reading technical manuals.

  • Capability to effectively communicate information and ideas verbally and in writing, ensuring clear and efficient transmission of instructions and feedback.

  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds occasionally, such as servers, networking equipment, and boxes of supplies.

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, interspersed with periods of standing, walking, and occasional bending or crouching to access equipment and installations.

  • Occasional travel to other company locations, vendor meetings, and industry conferences, which may involve driving or other modes of transportation.
