The MDR Deployment team’s mission is to manage Cyber-security implementations across the globe. As a Managed Detection & Response (MDR) Project Manager, you will onboard new MDR clients, collaborate with multiple teams, oversee equipment ordering and delivery, and maintain detailed checklists to ensure projects are completed within expedited timeframes, minimizing the customer's downtime during software deployments. The team is designed to ensure operational readiness for new MDR customers. The MDR Project Manager not only provides all management and oversight of the MDR deployments, but also drives initiatives for process and tool improvement. The team utilizes a variety of supporting tools and processes to ensure the quality of implementations.


Job Description

  • The Managed Detection & Response (MDR) Project Manager (PM) is responsible for the coordination, planning, scheduling and control over assigned MDR projects through the entire project life cycle. The Project Manager is expected to:

  • Manage multiple MDR projects, varying in size and complexity, and adhering to a committed schedule with milestones. 

  • Develop and maintain a detailed project plan from Sales handover to active Cyber-Security monitoring.

  • Demonstrate best practices for developing schedules, with the ability to identify and manage the challenges and Change Requests.

  • Responsible for working with resource managers and ensuring key participants are allocated/assigned for project support.

  • Identify resource constraints or deficiencies and lobby for appropriate support and/or subject matter expertise when needed. 

  • Act as the point of contact for stakeholders and the project team, communicating project status, reporting critical project challenges, and escalating issues as warranted.

  • Monitor project execution to ensure all obligations are met, and drive projects to completion according to schedule, scope and budget commitments. 

  • Excellent Interpersonal skills to work with internal, third party partners and customer teams to execute the projects. 

  • Quickly identify and communicate any changes to scope or expectations, following the Change Request process to determine impact to the resource plan and schedule. 

  • Identify and track risks and issues, along with their potential impact, while driving mitigation strategies and corrective actions.

  • Drive the project team to identify dependencies, evaluate options, and take appropriate actions to align and/or exploit efficiencies.

  • Ability to analyze, identify Project Management efficiencies, make recommendations, and implement process improvements.

  • Effectively coordinate the project close-out and conduct lessons learned, while documenting and storing all assets for reference.

  • Ability to review contracts and work with stakeholders to implement contract change order as required.

  • Participation in quarterly project reviews

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Must have excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills

  • Must be a team player, able to work effectively with general guidance toward objectives.

  • Strong organization skills; and the ability to multitask in a high paced environment preferred.

  • Experience and competency with office tool suites (e.g. MS Office, Google Suite, Slack)

  • Experience with a project management tool (e.g. MS Project, Smartsheet, Planview, Jira, monday.com etc.)

  • Project Management training and familiarity with Project Management terminology perferred.

  • PMP certification or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification preferred.


    Basic Requirements

    Required Skills:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, IT, or Management

    • 5+ years of experience in a Project Management role required.

    • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
