Overview




The Identity and Access Management Project Manager has the overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of a project.  The Project Manager's primary focus must be on risk and the recognition that risk directly impacts the likelihood of success for any project.  As such, risk must be measured, communicated and managed throughout the lifetime of a project. 




Key to this role is the Project Manager's ability to effectively communicate both within the project team and to project stakeholders.  This means that the Project Manager must be articulate, open-minded, solution-oriented, focused on quality, and most importantly an active listener.  The Project Manager must have a combination of skills including an ability to ask penetrating questions, detect unstated assumptions and resolve conflicts, as well as more general management skills.




Some travel (less than 25%) is expected in this role, but the majority of work will be performed remotely.








Responsibilities:





  • Act as the primary point of contact for identity and access management engagements with Identity Fusion's expanding customer base. 

  • Provide oversight of the project schedule and budget (with a high level of fiscal control and accountability) and risk/issue management.

  • Manage and execute project deliverables in line with the project plan and milestones.

  • Drive for results and deliver what is needed to ensure on-time delivery of project deliverables and meet published project go-live date.

  • Effectively execute project management disciplines (Waterfall, Agile, Iterative) throughout project lifecycle when managing projects and/or programs.

  • Support regular project management meetings with agendas, weekly status reporting with issue and risk identifications and mitigation.

  • Build strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and team members

  • Provide regular updates to the management team on project progress

  • Provide regular feedback to the PMO to guide future methodology and packaged service development

  • Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensure technical feasibility

  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress

  • Experience in Cybersecurity / Identity and Access Management projects

  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs

  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques

  • Report and escalate to management as needed

  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders

  • Experience in Consulting Delivery Services

  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks

  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors

  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Manage hybrid project teams that include customers and Identity Fusion employees

  • And most importantly, have a sense of humor




Experience and Qualifications:





  • Great educational background, preferably in the fields of computer science or engineering for technical project managers

  • Prior project management experience leading software implementation initiatives

  • Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies

  • Experience working with external customers (rather than internal projects)

  • Hands on experience with Atlassian Jira. Microsoft Project or similar tool.

  • Ability to recognize and manage project scope change

  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills








Desired Skills:





  • Working knowledge of Identity and Access Management solutions from vendors such as ForgeRock, Ping, Okta, SailPoint, etc.

  • Familiarity with software collaboration and time management tools

  • Experience with process improvement and inventory control

  • PMP Certification

  • Advanced time management and analytical skills

  • Working knowledge of PMO
