Job Summary






The Project Manager will oversee our Service Delivery projects from start to completion according to the contractual Statement of Work.  This individual will be responsible for establishing project timelines, identifying the necessary core team members, establishing a communication cadence for status updates, and managing risks.  The Project Manager will be accountable to ensure that we complete projects on time and on budget to ensure an outstanding Customer experience.  This individual will also be responsible for change management, risk identification and mitigation strategies by providing solutions. 

 

The Project Manager will report to the Services PMO Manager. This position is remote with a Home Office setup as determined by SHI management.

Responsibilities






Include, but are not limited to:

  • Hands on management of complex customer projects and all related activities to ensure project financials and milestones are met
  • Development and execution of a detailed project plan that includes all phases of project delivery (including billing against milestones)
  • Manage project scope, including the creation and execution of change requests as needed
  • Assemble and lead the project team which often includes internal/external resources, partners, etc.
  • Effectively and frequently communicate project status, risks, etc. to appropriate individuals throughout the organization including executive leadership
  • Actively contribute to process improvement activities and mentor to others
  • Assist the pre sales effort to evaluate requirements and provide guidance in support of Statement of Work preparation








Qualifications






  • Minimum 1+ years direct customer-facing project management/coordination experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience required
  • Sound understanding of project management principles
  • Basic understanding of requirements definition, work breakdown structures, scheduling, planning, business process analysis, project change control
  • Familiarity with:
    • Project process models, including SCRUM and Agile
    • Vendor and contract management practices
    • Software development practices
    • Infrastructure/IT operations practice
  • Proficiency in MS office tools – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint








Required Skills






  • Strong understanding of the dynamics of cross-functional teams, with the ability to creatively problem solve 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to team members and customers
  • Ability to read a contract/Statements of Work and understand SHI’s commitment to the customer for product and services, contractual obligations and requirements in the delivery of services
  • Strong follow up, problem solving and negotiation skills as well as experience holding project teams accountable to quality and on time delivery
  • Well-versed / understands project methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, PMP, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with little direction 

Preferred Skills/Qualfications:

  • Technology industry experience; Experience in IT delivery and operations
  • Product Management background
  • Understand the complexities of procurement vehicle
  • Project management certification









Additional Information






  • The estimated annual pay range for this position is $50,000 - $70,000. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
