Job Description
The job of the footwear and Color/Material/Finish (CMF) designer for the BOBS by Skechers Sport division is to create brand relevant products at the intersection of comfort and style. This designer will report to the Product Director and should be a highly organized creative problem solver, comfortable working in an entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment. The designer’s primary responsibility will be to envision, create, and develop new seasonal footwear concepts, as well as manage existing franchise models. Core Accountabilities
Under the guidance of the Product Director, the footwear and CMF designer will design and develop innovative and cost-efficient footwear that is brand and market relevant. This includes concepting, story-telling, and technical development. The designer will partner with Product Line Management and Design Director in the creation of line plans, briefs, and final product solutions aligned with business goals, consumer needs, and brand stories. It is crucial that the designer delivers on-time product solutions that align with the product calendar and business needs, ensuring all deadlines, line plans, and deliverables are met. The ability to study and research current and future trends is important in maintaining expert knowledge in global design trends, market competition, and the retail landscape. The designer should also conduct on and off-site research to bring new ideas to the brand. Proficiency in the creation of tech packs and outsole blueprints, including cross sections, is essential. The designer will collaborate with developers in the US and Asia to ensure projects are on track and prototypes and samples are executed to reflect the tech packs. Periodic travel to Asia for product development may be required, and the designer should be prepared to take on special projects as assigned.

Job Requirements
The footwear and CMF designer must have the ability to sketch shoes accurately and proportionately, as well as provide detailed specifications. Education and Experience
