Job Description

A Food Service Worker is responsible for working on the patient tray line and assembling prepared foods on trays for general and therapeutic diets. They also perform sanitation duties as assigned in the dish room. The main goal is to develop and maintain a positive teamwork environment to achieve the highest quality of service for customers. It is important for the Food Service Worker to ensure that supportive tasks are accomplished within the scope of duties and in a timely manner. The Food Service Worker is also responsible for achieving 100% tray accuracy.

Qualifications

To be considered for the position of Food Service Worker, it is preferred to have 1-2 years of hospital food service experience. A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, and the ability to speak and read English is necessary. Bilingual skills are preferred. Excellent communication and customer service skills are also required. The Food Service Worker should be able to handle a multi-task environment. Having a Food Handlers Certification is preferred.

Work Schedule

The work schedule for the Food Service Worker consists of 8-hour shifts ranging from 5:30am-4:30pm. Additionally, the Food Service Worker is required to work every other weekend.
