About the Role
The Senior Product Designer position at Murmuration is a full-time role reporting to the Manager of UX Design. The designer will join a close-knit group of Product Designers and play a pivotal role in determining the look, feel, and user experience for one of Murmuration’s products within a growing product portfolio. This portfolio includes enterprise software tools and mobile apps. The Senior Product Designer will collaborate effectively and empathically with cross-functional teams, including researchers, product managers, engineers, marketers, and data scientists to create innovative designs that meet customer goals and address pain points. The designer will also be responsible for delivering end-to-end feature design work and regularly presenting designs to stakeholders for feedback.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams of researchers, product managers, engineers, marketers, and data scientists
- Employ user-centered design methodologies to thoroughly understand customer goals and pain points
- Design early-stage product ideas, iterate quickly, and deliver actionable insights to the team
- Deliver end-to-end feature design work, including user journeys and flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes
- Present designs to stakeholders for feedback and to the company at large
- Mentor and collaborate with other designers to apply best practices and learn cutting-edge techniques
- Help drive continuous improvement of the design practice
Requirements
To be successful in the role of Senior Product Designer at Murmuration, there are certain requirements and skills that candidates should possess.
Basic Requirements
- Passion for civic engagement, campaigns, and equitability
- Excellent product design fundamentals, including visual design, UI design, interaction design, and information architecture
- Demonstrable real-world design expertise in complex SaaS products on teams using Agile software development methodologies
- Skill in strategizing at a high level and breaking down and targeting tactical pieces to realize the vision
- Expertise in creating and using design systems to drive consistency and reusability throughout a suite of products
- Deep understanding of accessibility and responsive/adaptive design to accommodate different form factors
- A bias for action and the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments
- A strong commitment to data-driven decision making
- Mastery of industry-standard design and collaboration tools
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Experience with CRMs, political or advocacy campaigns, and/or civic organizing products
- Experience with analytics tools

- Visual identity branding experience
- Training in behavioral science

Location, Compensation, and Benefits
The Senior Product Designer position at Murmuration is a full-time, salaried role with a comprehensive benefits package. The position can be based anywhere in the U.S., offering flexibility for remote work. The salary range for the position is $115,000 – $135,000, commensurate with experience.
