Job Description
The Senior Industrial Designer will work closely with the Design team leadership to champion the Sea to Summit design language and continuously develop the brand. They will manage a diverse range of work tasks and projects, including crafting, pitching, and validating design decisions. Additionally, the Senior Industrial Designer will lead mid-scale projects from concept development to product execution.
The Senior Industrial Designer will be responsible for developing products using various tools including conceptual sketching, 3D model making, rapid prototyping, CAD modeling, and photorealistic rendering visualization software tools. They will also assess changing project requirements and user needs to make necessary trade-offs and maintain a high standard of project asset development.
Collaboration with other teams such as Product, Marketing, Design and Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, and Production will be essential to ensure product integrity and achieve product objectives. The Senior Industrial Designer will be expected to excel in communication and effectively convey design and manufacturing complexities to engineering and development staff through detailed tech pack documentation.
Staying up to date with industry design tool developments and sharing knowledge with the team is another crucial aspect of the role. The Senior Industrial Designer will be expected to follow trends and news in the marketplace, competition, and industry, and reflect this knowledge in their work and communication.

They should possess a working knowledge of managing and leading multiple projects, executing creative deliverables on time and on task, and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
The Senior Industrial Designer should be a team player, capable of leading direct cross-functional engineering team communication while also working independently to support team outcomes. Proficiency in industry-standard tools such as Sketchbook Pro, Solidworks, Autodesk Fusion, Keyshot 10, Adobe Creative Suite, Miro, PowerPoint, and CAD software (both 2D and 3D) is essential.
