Role Description

The Junior or Mid-level Industrial/Product Designer position at SmartAC.com, Inc. is an in-office role based in Houston, TX. As a member of the hardware design team, the chosen candidate will play a crucial role in the entire product lifecycle, from concept to market launch and continuous support. Responsibilities

Collaborate within a small, passionate team

Finalize designs for tooling and manufacturing

One of the key responsibilities of the Industrial/Product Designer will be to finalize designs for tooling and manufacturing. This will involve collaborating closely with engineers to ensure that the designs meet the requirements for tooling and can be successfully manufactured.

Support New Product Development (NPD) activities

The Industrial/Product Designer will also be involved in supporting New Product Development (NPD) activities, including testing, qualification, certification, and packaging. This role will require a thorough understanding of the NPD process and the ability to contribute to the development and implementation of these activities.

Design and manage production of market support products

The designer will be responsible for designing and managing the production of market support products. This may include sales and trade show displays, as well as other materials needed to support the marketing and sales efforts of the company.

Work closely with in-house and offshore staff
