The Senior Project Manager will be focused on managing and overseeing scope, schedule, budget, and client communications during the design, construction, and closeout phases. The Senior Project Manager will “Quarterback” the Public Sector process and be the client face and primary relationship holder from contract to closeout. This role will oversee overall construction project operations and deliverables, working with assigned Design, Pre-Construction, Project Supervision, and Project Support teams for all client-facing interactions and communications.  This includes accountability for managing and communicating contract scope, schedule, and budget in accordance with the expectations of the client and to the required standards of quality with internal project teams. This role will build, maintain, and foster relationships with existing clients, providing a best-in-class client experience.

Senior Project Manager Responsibilities

  • Build, strengthen, foster, and maintain a trust-based and long-term relationship with each client.
  • Ensure that the entire project team understands the importance of completing their projects with excellent service and that the client looks upon our personnel as strong professionals who are the driving force behind the efficient and effective completion of the project.
  • Properly update the client on the status of the project through a proprietary client dashboard, written reports, verbal updates, and regular meetings.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the project, managing the schedule and budget, monitoring progress, and ensuring that the project is completed on time and within budget.
  • Work with management on project schedule tracking, monthly budget management, project forecasting, project billings, and collections.
  • Provide leadership and guidance for the project team and assist on major issues as they arise.
  • Maintain an ongoing relationship with the customer, providing technical consultation on current and future facility needs.
  • Coordinate the project schedules between Design, Construction, Closeout, and the client’s needs to ensure successful and on-time delivery.
  • Oversee the planning and design of construction projects, working with architects, engineers, preconstruction, project managers, and other design professionals to develop plans and specifications.
  • Coordinate and document quotes and proposals with vendors. Procure equipment for projects and work with vendors and subcontractors to coordinate timely deliveries of equipment.
  • Mentors Jr team members, and new employees.
  • Assist business development and marketing team in interviews, marketing, and closing of contracts and partnerships with identified opportunities.

Senior Project Manager Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
  • 10+ years of industry experience in construction services, client engagement, or related fields
  • In-depth knowledge of the construction process including scheduling, budgeting, contract administration, equipment, manpower, etc.
  • Demonstrated leadership, mentorship, and problem-solving skills
  • Personable, relatable, and able to connect with and lead clients and internal teams
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Project)
  • Proficient in Procore or similar construction management software 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 20-pound tool and equipment bags.
  • Ability to safely climb ladders and move over uneven terrain as necessary to access facility equipment.
