Your Opportunity with TransformCare

We are currently seeking a full-time Healthcare Data Analyst to support Medicaid rate-setting for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania contract. This role will be performed remotely. As the work will support an EST time zone, we would prefer a candidate in either the EST or CST time zone. TransformCare is a subcontractor on this contract, and this role will report to and work directly with our prime contractor. 


Position Overview

The Healthcare Data Analyst is expected to be a self-starter with basic problem-solving and data analytics skills and the ability to work well with and learn from their team members and customers. This individual will be paired with seasoned staff to help further develop their core consulting and analytics skills and will have exciting opportunities to assist in many impactful projects that provide actuarial support for Medicaid rate-setting. This position will largely consist of responding to data requests, programming within SAS Software to pull and analyze data, and developing various work products to show the results. The candidate will have the opportunity to work with big data and a seasoned team of data analysts.


Role Responsibilities: To provide support to the project's data team. Specific examples of this support include: 

  • Respond to various data requests from clients and team members
  • Pull and analyze large data sets for actuaries
  • Synthesize data into meaningful deliverables and work products summarizing key      observations
  • Extract, transform, and load Medicaid claims data into Team’s data mart to leverage      for rate-setting analyses
  • Possess the ability and experience in applying critical thinking to provide      recommendations to solve complex problems
  • Consolidate input from multiple parties into clear and concise documents
  • Participate as a key, collaborative member of a larger client team
  • Participate in various corporate initiatives as requested and as client commitments      permit, including:
    • Adhere to corporate policies and procedures
    • Maintain 95% utilization

Compensation for the position posted in accordance with various states and local legislation for a permanent remote position:?Annual salary of $75,000-$90,000+benefits (depending upon experience and qualifications)

Requirements

 Role Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in healthcare or data field
  • 0-3 years of experience in healthcare, programming, and/or business consulting fields      required
  • 0-3 years of experience with Data Analysis, including synthesizing,      extracting, and transforming large data sets. 
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Office365
  • SAS programming skills are desirable
  • U.S. citizenship (client requirement)
