Knowledge
The Industrial Designer should have a solid understanding of industrial/retail design and foundational knowledge of POP displays/fixtures. Additionally, a basic understanding of graphic design and pre-press, as well as shopper marketing, is preferred.
Skills
The Industrial Designer should possess a high level of creativity in creating new and attractive designs. Additionally, strong organizational and time management skills are important for prioritizing tasks. The Industrial Designer should also be able to assess situations and challenges, identifying potential solutions for customers. Proficiency in computer skills, including design software such as SolidWorks, Form Z, and the Adobe Creative Suite, is required.
Education and Experience
Candidates for the Industrial Designer position should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design or a similar field. Three or more years of industrial design experience is preferred, with a specific emphasis on designing retail displays and fixtures. Experience in production/manufacturing is a plus.
